Love this old school desk…I decided to give it a new look with a fresh coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Primer Red and Old White…distressed, aged, and waxed it…then added a few stars and stripes just for fun!!
I was out visiting one of my favorite little “antique’s and such” shops when I came across this great little buffet and hutch…I don’t know if it’s an actual antique or not…it’s very well made…even has the dovetail on the drawers…also, it has CC engraved on the back of it…I tried to Google that, but, couldn’t find anything out…..And I loved how dark the wood was, because, anyone who loves to work with chalk paint knows that the dark wood makes for a beautifully distressed piece…I was a little busy this week so it took a few days for me to finish up with it. I painted with Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Duck Egg and Old White, distressed it, then waxed…I love the way she turned out so much that I’m having a hard time not keeping it for myself 🙂 But….well….I just can’t…even though I’m still trying to talk myself into it…lol…In the meantime, she is up for sale…$325

Mom and I were antiquing last week when I found this little gem…Although, she isn’t an antique (the table, not my mom), she is still a great piece with “that” look…..I know, some people might like this table just as it is, I mean, it is pretty…but, I wanted to give it a new look…Here she is with her new coat of paint…Annie Sloan Old White, distressed, and waxed…I think she is beautiful! Dimensions are 28 1/2in tall, 12in deep, 29 1/4 wide $150
Several weeks ago, I found this old writing desk while I was out “antiquing”….It’s such a sweet piece of furniture. It was actually in great shape…just needed some good ol’ Annie Sloan Chalk Paint to revive it….I decided to go with a neutral color so it could be used in almost any room of the house. I chose French Linen for the outside and Duck Egg on the inside of both the top desk area, and the drawer, then lightly distressed, aged, and waxed…I also added a French stencil just for a pretty little accent….And of course, new knobs, were added in the end…Below are the before and after pictures…
I love garage sales…sometimes you find the greatest little treasures for little or nothing…then, sometimes you can’t find a dang thing…last week, however, I found this wonderful little antique wash stand, or vanity, or kitchen storage cabinet…I am pretty sure anyone could find a use for it somewhere in their home…Well, I took it home and tried to figure out just what color I should paint her…because as you know, that is the hardest part of all…picking out the color!! I got out my trusty little Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Color Chart and finally decided on Paris Grey and Old White….I painted, and painted, and painted…inside and out, top to bottom…every square inch…then sanded, distressed, and waxed to that gorgeous, silky smooth finish you get when using Annie Sloan products…Did I mention I’m in love with ASCP?? Well, I am….Here are some before and after pictures…Isn’t she pretty?
