Little Princess Vanity

Last weekend, all by myself,  I decided to brave the Flea Market down the street…There was only one piece of furniture…This wonderful little vanity…of course, it was not in the greatest shape…but, I saw the potential in her right away…I somehow managed to lug her to the car in two trips…(no one even offered to help…humph!) ….I wanted to start right away before I lost my vision…but, this nasty rain that we’ve been having on a daily basis lately, threw a curve in my game….I finally managed to finish her on this beautiful, sunny, and practically perfect day…I re-covered the little bench in a fun pink Paris scene…painted her with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White, distressed, then waxed her to a lovely finish…I think she is precious!! And fit for any little princess room…She also has a drawer and two side panels for jewelry or other trinkets and they are all lined with a green felt…This little Sweetheart is up for sale for $150

The Bombay Table…

Mom and I were antiquing last week when I found this little gem…Although, she isn’t an antique (the table, not my mom), she is still a great piece with “that” look…..I know, some people might like this table just as it is, I mean, it is pretty…but, I wanted to give it a new look…Here she is with her new coat of paint…Annie Sloan Old White, distressed, and waxed…I think she is beautiful! Dimensions are 28 1/2in tall, 12in deep, 29 1/4 wide $150Image

Princess Antoinette

How pretty is this little dresser? The lady I got it from says she bought it over 40 years ago…used! So, I’m guessing it dates back to the 1960’s? It’s in excellent condition…Romantic French provincial style… Six dovetail drawers with beautiful pulls, intricate carvings, and Queen Anne legs. Drawers all work perfectly! Painted in Annie Sloan Chalk paint ~ Antoinette and Old White, then slightly distressed and waxed to a silky smooth finish. $400 Measures approx. 53″ tall. 38″ wide. 17″deep

Antique Writing Desk

Several weeks ago, I found this old writing desk while I was out “antiquing”….It’s such a sweet piece of furniture.  It was actually in great shape…just needed some good ol’ Annie Sloan Chalk Paint to revive it….I decided to go with a neutral color so it could be used in almost any room of the house. I chose French Linen for the outside and Duck Egg on the inside of both the top desk area, and the drawer, then lightly distressed, aged, and waxed…I also added a French stencil just for a pretty little accent….And of course, new knobs, were added in the end…Below are the before and after pictures…

The Wash Stand

I love garage sales…sometimes you find the greatest little treasures for little or nothing…then, sometimes you can’t find a dang thing…last week, however, I found this wonderful little antique wash stand, or vanity, or kitchen storage cabinet…I am pretty sure anyone could find a use for it somewhere in their home…Well, I took it home and tried to figure out just what color I should paint her…because as you know, that is the hardest part of all…picking out the color!!  I got out my trusty little Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Color Chart and finally decided on Paris Grey and Old White….I painted, and painted, and painted…inside and out, top to bottom…every square inch…then sanded, distressed, and waxed to that gorgeous, silky smooth finish you get when using Annie Sloan products…Did I mention I’m in love with ASCP??  Well, I am….Here are some before and after pictures…Isn’t she pretty?
